Vipers SC secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory against Express in the Uganda Premier League at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Wednesday.

The host came out of the blocks early as they searched for an early goal, but were blunt, failing to capitalise on their chances.
Alfred Mudekereza made a big save as he tipped away Mikidadi Ssenyonga’s well-curled free kick in the ninth minute.
Five minutes later, Muhamed Ssenoga headed narrowly wide after John Asiimwe’s delightful delivery from the left flank.
At half past an hour, Usama Arafat tested Ali Mwirusi with a powerful effort but the custodian pushed the ball out for a corner kick.
Ssebagala broke the deadlock in the 38th minute with a close-range effort. The hosts were punished for failing to play out of their goal area.
Just before the halftime break, Richard Bsagwa’s volley in the area hit the crossbar as Vipers survived an equaliser.
Okello doubled Viper’s lead in the 66th minute with a sweet finish after being set up by Usama with a defence-splitting pass.
Three minutes later, Ogwang made it three up with a powerful effort from close range after being set up by Okello.
The victory takes Vipers to the fourth position with 12 points from four games while Express lie 10th on the log with nine points from eight games.
