How they qualified: The five-time champions qualified as leaders from a relatively easier group J, unbeaten from six matches against Zimbabwe, Kenya and Namibia.
With eight goals scored, they only failed to find the back of the net twice conceding in just two matches.
Realistic chance at Afcon 2025: They come to every Afcon as contenders and it won’t be any different in Morocco. Alongside champions Ivory Coast, they will be favourites to move out of the group. And with failure to qualify for the 2026 world cup, they can only make up for that with a triumph at the Afcon but it looks difficult. A semi-final spot is attainable though.
Who is the star of the team? It is a team not devoid of stars right from goal where they have Andre Onana to the midfield manned by Napoli man Andre Zambo Frank Anguissa and to the forward line led by Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo who will probably be the star man of the team in Morocco.
