Uganda’s Tug-of-War men team had the likes of Hon. Moses Kabuusu (Kyamuswa), Hon. William Ndoli Museveni (Buwekula South), Hon. Kakembo Michael (Entebbe Municipality), Hon. Milton Kalulu Muwuma (Kigulu County South), Hon. Iddi Isabirye (Bunya County), Hon. Dr. Timothy Batuwa Lusala (Jinja South West), Hon. Muhamad Kibeddi Nsegumire (Mityana North), Hon. Milima Abdallah (Mukono North), Hon. Hannington Wakayima Musoke Nsereko (Nansana Municipality), Hon. Thembo Gideon Mujungu (Busongora County South) and Hon. Yovan Adriko (Vurra County). The female team had Hon. Awas Sylvia Vicky (Woman MP, Nabilatuk), Hon. Acibu Agnes (Nebbi), Hon. Florence Akiiki (Masindi), Hon. Flora Natumanya (Kikuube), Hon. Margaret Makhoha (Namayingo), Hon. Catherine Ndamira Atwakiire (Kabale District), Hon. Juliet Agasha (Mitooma), Hon. Brenda Nabukenya (Luweero) and Hon. Naome Kabasharira (Rushenyi County).

Kenya Members of Parliament have had a field day of office in the Tug-of-War competition during the on-going 15th East African Community (EAC) – Inter Parliamentary Games at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, Kampala in Uganda on Monday, 8th December 2025.
Kenya legislators won 2-0 over the games hosts, Uganda and also recorded the same score-line over the females.

Uganda female team put a smile on the faces of many with an easy 2-0 victory over East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA).
“We won once over EALA and lost to Kenya. We eye a strong finish over South Sudan and Rwanda on Thursday. I salute all my team members” Hon. Noame Kabasharira, the MP Rushenyi County in Ntungamo district told Kawowo Sports Media after their victory over EALA.

Spurred by the Busia County Member of Parliament Hon. Rafael Wanjala, Kenyan men outmuscled their opponents under less than two minutes.
“We prepared well for these games and these are the results to show. We want to win this championship like we have always done” Hon. Wanjala remarked.

Uganda’s Tug-of-war teams are coached by the vastly experienced Andrew Ssemaganda.

Action in the Tug-of-war continues this Thursday, 11th December 2025 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala city.
Besides the Tug-of-war sport, the Members of Parliament from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan are also competiting in Volleyball, Football, Netball, Athletics, Netball, Golf, Basketball and Darts.

















These games were officially opened on 6th December 2025 at the Kololo Ceremonial Independence Grounds.
They will climax on 17th December 2025 with a colorful closing ceremony.
