  • Kitara FC vs Maroons FC – The Royals Park – Butema, Hoima City 4pm
  • KCCA FC vs NEC FC – MTN Omondi Stadium – Lugogo 8pm

KCCA could re-open a three-point gap at the top again if they overcome Lugogo rivals NEC on Friday under the lights at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Brian Ssenyondo and Jackson Magera’s lads come into the game in good form winning the last three matches in a row including a 2-1 win over bogey side BUL in the latest counter.

The hosts will be without key players Ivan Ahimbisibwe and forward Shafik Nana Kwikiriza who are in Morocco with the Uganda Cranes ahead of the Afcon 2025.

In the absence of Ahimbisibwe, the club’s league lead goal scorer, Emmanuel Anyama and Derrick Nsibambi will be tasked with leading the hunt for goals.

NEC held champions Vipers to a 1-1 draw in the last outing and with ex-KCCA players, Mustafa Kizza, Benjamin Ochan, Muzamir Mutyaba and Paul Mucureezi in their team, expect a close contest.

Badru Kaddu, ex-KCCA coach will be on the touchline against former pay masters where he won several titles under Mike Mutebi.

NEC will fancy their chances as history does favour them with 3 wins and one league defeat in four previous meetings.

In the early kick off at Royal Park, Butema, Kitara host Maroons in a 4pm kick off.
