Overview:
The tournament will feature three competitive and developmental categories with the main event having juniors between the ages 4–18 with handicaps) as the flagship event. It will also have the skills test cluster for beginners and the youth between 19 to 34 years.

The Uganda Ladies Golf Union (ULGU) officially unveiled Stanbic Bank as the title sponsor for the Inaugural Annual Stanbic Junior Golf Championship with a Ug.Shs 25,000,000 package.
This tournament will take place on 14th December 2025 at the par-72- Uganda Golf Club, Kampala.

An impressive number of 160 young participants are anticipated, making it one of the largest and most inclusive youth golf events in the country.
The tournament was officially launched on Thursday, 11th December 2025 at the UGC Terrace with officials Arthur Kiwanuka (Stanbic Bank head of Affluent Banking), Ritah Akot Apell (Uganda Ladies Golf Union president), Mark Namanya and Krystal Water’s Camila Wangoi in attendance.
These were joined by a couple of youngsters Alexis Aurelia Akol (17 years), Jean Wade (13 years), Herman Kasibante (16 years) and Henry M. Nimoh (11 years).

This will be the flagship category brings together juniors aged 4 to 18 who are already actively playing golf with established handicaps.
It provides a structured platform for rising talent to compete, showcase skill, and gain national exposure.

Skills Test Category (Beginners starting the game)
The second category will involve beginners for the skills test. This will help nurture early interest in the sport, a second category has been introduced for boys and girls who are new to golf.
Through supervised skills tests, young beginners will experience the game in a supportive, condence-building environment.

Subsidiary Youth Event (Ages 19–35):
The youth category (19 to 35 years) will help in recognizing the growing interest among young adults, as a pathway that strengthens continued participation and extends the develop ment pipeline beyond junior golf.
Krystal Water is the other co-partner for the event as the official hydration sponsor.
