Egypt National Team head coach Hossam Hassan has named his final squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations set to be held in Morocco between 21st December 2025 to 18th January 2026.

The Pharaohs, who are the tournament’s record champions (seven titles), will be seeking to extend their record by winning another AFCON title.

The team will be captained by Mo Salah, who of late has had issues with his manager Arne Slot at Liverpool, thus being sidelined for the recent club engagements.

Egypt will be without defender Mohamed Abdelmonem, who is undergoing rehabilitation to recover from an ACL injury at his club Nice in France.

Before connecting to Morocco, Egypt will have a friendly game against Nigeria in Cairo on Tuesday, 16th December.

The Pharaohs are in Group B alongside Angola, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
