Calvary hold Mbarara City in a one-all draw in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Midigo Primary School grounds on Saturday evening.
Ibrahim Dada scored an opener before Mbarara City levelled matters through Stephen Oriokot’s own goal.
Mbarara City came out of the blocks early keeping Calvary on the back foot as they kept knocking on the door.
Milton Afema was quick to clear the ball off the line to keep his side in the game as Mbarara City nearly took the lead in the 20th minute.
The hosts were awarded a penalty in the 53rd minute after Peter Odeke was fouled in the area.
Dada stepped up to the occasion and smartly converted from the 12-yard mark as the hosts took the lead on the day.
Ten minutes later, the Ankole Lions levelled matters through an own goal by Oriokot.
After the draw, Mbarara City lie 15th on the log with seven points while Calvary sit on the bottom of the log three points.
