Uganda Christian University’s basketball teams had a great day in office on the second day of the ongoing Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Games.
In the Men’s category, UCU Canons thumped Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) in front of the home crowd.
The Canons came out of the blocks early opening a seven-point lead at the end of the first stanza.
Before the long break, the Canons extended the lead to 21points (45-24) despite facing strong competition from the Flames.
Coming from the half-time break, the Canons kept the foot on the gas pedal as they took a 22-point (59-38) lead into the final quarter.
In the final frame, the Canons secured a commanding 29-point victory.
In the Women’s category, the Lady Canons secured a commanding 77-44 victory against Makerere University Business School.
