Among the millions of ardent football fans currently caged in Morocco for the 35th TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament is one passionate family based in the United Kingdom (UK).
Ronald Edema and his wife Karen Roberts Edema who live in Luton Town, United Kingdom traveled to the North African country of Morocco to watch the championship where also Uganda is part.
The duo are finding a great time in Rabat city and cannot wait to catch the action live.

“We are excited to be in Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament where Uganda is taking part. We have already secured the tickets for all Uganda’s matches and we eagerly wait the action” Ronald Edema who hails from the West Nile region in Uganda says.
Uganda Cranes face Tunisia in Group C contest at the Rabat Olympic Stadium on Tuesday night and the couple who have three children are enthusiastic.
“I am ready to cheer up every moment of the game as Uganda Cranes face Tunisia in Rabat” Karen, a Nursing Lecturer who hails from Jamaica speaks.
The Edema’s have two daughters and a 17-year-old footballing son Roberts Kyron Edema, who features for the Luton Town Football Club U-18 team.
The family is pretty optimistic that the son will one day represent Uganda Cranes at the international level.
“Our 17-year-old is doing well at Luton Town Football Club where he has been since 2023. He is now in the U-18 team and will soon sign a professional contract with the senior team. We are hopeful that one day, he will play for the Uganda Cranes” Ronald Edema, a Police officer speaks of the son.

Uganda Cranes will also face Nigeria and Tanzania in group C with a target of making it out of the group.
