Uganda Cranes forward Allan Okello believes playing at the Africa Cup of Nations is a once in a life time opportunity which every player must take with open hands.

Okello was speaking to the media during the pre-match press briefing ahead of Saturday’s game against Tanzania in Rabat.

The Vipers player said, playing at this level is both a challenge and an opportunity.

“I would say it is the biggest tournament in Africa and it’s both pressure but also an opportunity on the other side. It is a big stage for me as a player to showcase what I have,” he said.

Ahead of the game against Tanzania, Okello indicated they have to learn from the previous game against Tunisia in order to stand a chance of progressing beyond the group stage.

“We just need quite some simple learning for us to be able to win our next game because we didn’t do well in our previous game but we always learn from our mistakes and we are ready to perform better tomorrow,” added Okello.

Uganda is in Group C alongside Tanzania, Nigeria and Tanzania.
