AFCON 2025 (Uganda Cranes matches):
- Tunisia 3-1 Uganda
- Uganda 1-1 Tanzania
- Uganda 1-3 Nigeria
It was a disastrous campaign for Uganda Cranes at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Morocco.
Uganda did not win any game in Group C; drawing once and losing twice in the three games played at the championship.

The Cranes opened with a 1-3 loss to Tunisia at the Olympic stadium, drew 1-all with fellow CECAFA zone country Tanzania at Al Medina stadium and lost 1-3 to Nigeria Super Eagles in Fes city.
The positive was the ability to score in each of the three fixtures with Denis Omedi netting against Tunisia, Karl Anthony Uchechukwu Ikepeazu Mubiru scoring against Tanzania and Rogers Kassim Mato against Nigeria.
Ucheckukwu, who features for St Johnstone in the Scottish premier league has summed up the performances for Uganda positively as a perfect learning curve.
“It was a perfect learning curve. We have got a very young group. I can do better, we can do better. Uganda is an amazing national team. I love the players, our coach” Ucheckukwu remarked.

The burly center forwarded branded the game against Nigeria as the hardest of his career thus far.
“It (match against Nigeria) is the hardest of my career. It was a good learning experience” he added.

Nigeria finished group C unscratched with the maximum 9 points off three games.
Tunisia ended with 4 points, Tanzania (2) and Uganda with a single point.
Nigeria, Tunisia and Tanzania advanced to the knock-out round from Group C.
