TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 (Round of 16):

Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed all the match officials for the upcoming round of 16 AFCON 2025 contest between Egypt and Benin at the Grand Stade Agadir in Agadir city on Monday, 5th January 2026.

Two Ugandans Dixon Adol “Bond” Okello and Ali Tomusange Mulumba have been assigned security and referee assessor roles respectively.

FIFA Certified safety and security officer Okello will man all the security operations alongside Egyptian Mahmoud Taher.

Retired FIFA Referee Tomusange will be the referee assessor during the contest that will be handled by Gabonese referee Pierre Ghislain Atcho.

Bori Marlaise Ditsoga and B Amos Abeigne Ndong both from Gabon will be the first and second assistant referees respectively.

The fourth official is Messie Jessie Oved Nkounkou Mvoutou from Congo whilst Djibouti’s Mohamed Moumin Ali is the commissioner.

Other officials:

Ghanaian Alexander Sakyi Asante is the general coordinator who will be assisted by Youcef Koudri from Algeria.

The other officials for this contest will have Mohamed Magassouba (Mali) and Jaqueline Tulipamwe Shipanga (Namibia) on the Technical Study Group.

Mamadou Diallo (Mali) and Quintine Indeche (Kenya) are the commercial officers.

Ibrahima Tanou Diallo (Guinea) and Zambia’s Gwen Mulundu Chipasula are media officers.

Morocco duo of Hamza El Fariqand Zakaria Brinsi will be in charge of the Video Assistant Refereeing (VAR) operations.

Brinsi shall be the main Video Assistant Referee whilst El Fariq will be the assistant. Eswatini’s Letticia Antonella Viana will be the second Video Assistant VAR.

Tunisian Zakia Bartegi is charge of Doping control. Sidi Mohamed Moustahsane (Morocco) is the medical officer.

Melissa Zage (South Africa) is the venue broadcast manager.
