The semi-final line up for the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations is now confirmed following Saturday’s quarter final clashes.
In Marrakesh, Nigeria Super Eagles were too good for the Algeria’s Desert Fox with goals from Victor Osimhen and Adam Akor sending them to the last four.
They will now face hosts Morocco in a highly anticipated clash on Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat.
Seven-time champions Egypt also earned their spot in the semi-final following a hard fought 3-2 victory over holders Ivory Coast in Agadir.
The five-goal thriller was decided by Mohamed Salah strike adding on goals from Omar Mamoursh and Ramy Rabia turning Ahmed Fatouh own goal and Doue goal into consolation.
Salah will square off with former Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane in Tangier on Wednesday in a repeat of the 2021 final.
