AFCON 2025 (Bronze medal match):
- Egypt 0-0 Nigeria (Half time)
It is a goalless duel after the opening 45 minutes between Nigeria and Egypt at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca city.
This is the bronze medal match to determine the third and fourth best countries at the 35th edition of the AFCON hosted by Morocco.
It has been a balanced match after the opening stanza with one key moment where Nigeria’s goal by Jerome Adams Akor was disallowed by Morocan referee Jayed Jalal following a VAR consultation.
Akor celebrated after heading home Samuel Chimerenka’s cross from the right but the effort was cancelled after an elbow from Paul Ebere Onuachu into the face of Ramy Hisham Abdelaziz Rabia.

Besides that moment, there were only a couple of half chances from the two sides.
Ibrahim Hassan, Mohammed Salah and the big forward Mostafa Mohamed getting closer for the Pharoahs whilst the Nigerian skipper Moses Daddy Simon, Ebere and Chukwueze have troubled the Egyptian defence.
Simon was cautioned for blocking Salah towards the end of the first half.
The two teams have plenty of options on the respective benches with the next 45 minutes coming up and a possible extra 30 minutes incase of a stalemate.
