BUL continued with an impressive run making it two victories in as many outings under the new era of Alex Isabirye Musongora.

BUL secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory against SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League encounter at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Friday.

BUL were awarded a freekick in a promising area but left back Nicolas Mwere hits it wildly off the target in the 15 minute.

Due to the tough high temperature, the center referee asked both sides to go off the field of play in the 25th minute for a cooling break.

Alex Kitata broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute after nodding Walter Ochora’s long throw in two minutes after the hour mark.

SC Villa came close to finding a response at the stroke of the first stanza but Patrick Kakande’s effort was cleared off the line for a corner kick.

Coming from the dressing room, Kitata collided with SC Villa goalkeeper David Lukwago in a nasty collision but both got back totheir feet after treatment.

Reagan Mpande found an equaliser for BUL in the 65th minute. The forward was in a perfect place to guided the ball in the back.of the net after Tom Ikara’s earlier save.

Five minutes later, the hosts regained the lead after SC Villa goalkeeper misjudged Mwere’s delivery thus guiding it i to.the back of the net.

The victory takes BUL to the seventh position with 16 point while SC Villa remain in the fourth position with 26 points after playing 13 league games.
