Uganda Premier League | Fixture
- BUL vs SC Villa – 4 pm
BUL head coach Alex Isabirye has called for resilience and grit as BUL hosts SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League encounter at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Friday.
Despite facing a significant injury crisis and a gap in the league standings, Isabirye remains confident that his troops can secure maximum points at home.
The oil-manufactures the fixture coming off a morale-boosting win against Calvary, a result Isabirye was quick to acknowledge.
“I want to thank God for the gift of life and for making us able to win our previous game against Calvary,” he said before adding; “I know the game (against SC Villa) won’t be easy. We are five points below SC Villa. I know they have a good run while we’ve been struggling.”
“I’m very sure that while at home we are going to improve game by game but if we do that then we need to start by winning tomorrow.”
BUL’s biggest challenge is the absence of three key players namely Nicolas Mwere, Jerome Kirya and Pascal Ngobi who have been regular starters for the Eastern Giants.
However, Isabirye believes that despite a depleted squad, the available players are ready to take on the challenge.
