Mbarara City and Lugazi played out a goalless draw on Saturday at Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge.

Neither side could find a breakthrough in a dreary game that perhaps reflects their positions on the table.

Lugazi FC, despite making changes in the technical bench, bringing on board Simon Peter Mugerwa to replace Steven Bogere, the performance and results continue to remain disappointing.

The Leaders have now gone seven games without victory, their last coming on 8th November against Buhimba United Saints.

Mbarara City is in the same boat, accounting for only one win in the last six games. And their struggles of the pitch were equally on the show on Saturday with the Ankole Lions having just eleven players on the day and fielding forward Clinton Kamugisha as a goalkeeper.

The result leaves both teams on eleven points and engulfed in the relegation mix, with Lugazi in 14th position while Mbarara City are second from bottom.
