KCCA co-coach Brian Ssenyondo has issued a strong warning to his players that nothing but three points is the ultimate target in their premier league game against UPDF on Tuesday.

The Kasasiro return home after two disastrous results on the road that saw them pick one point out of six against Police and Maroons losing 2-0 and drawing goalless respectively.

Ssenyondo is aware that the team needs to regain their winning touch if they are to remain in pole position to contend for the title.

“It is not business as usual because the club has not won a match since the beginning of the year,” Ssenyondo told the pre-match press briefing. “We are here tomorrow to see that we win the game,” he added.

“They got a goalless draw here last season and they will be pumped to see they get a point or three from us. But there are no excuses, we need to just win this game.”

KCCA are 3rd placed at the moment with 27 points, three behind leaders Vipers who have a ‘game in hand’ and their opponents UPDF are struggling in the lower bottom 11 points, same as sides that occupy relegation places despite them sitting in 13th position.

Their head coach Alex Gitta says they picked positives from the 1-0 defeat to Entebbe UPPC, a game they dominated and will build on that.

“Our top most strategy is to play an entertaining game and win a game,” he stated. “Looking at our previous game, we created clear cut chances but didn’t convert. We have worked on the finishing and hopefully, we create the chances and utilize them,” he added.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended in a goalless draw but they have not won a fixture against the Kasasiro since 2016.

In other fixtures on Tuesday, Buhimba United Saints host NEC at Butema, Maroons visit on form Entebbe UPPC at Bugonga, Lugazi are at home to BUL, URA travel to Calvary while Vipers and Police lock horns in a top of the table clash at Kitende in a late kick off.
