The stage is set for a high-stakes via Kampala-Jinja highway as desperate Lugazi host resurgent BUL at Lugazi Stadium, Najjembe on Tuesday.
After Alex Isabirye’s return, BUL has witnessed a momentum shift winning back-to-back wins putting to an end an era.
Their recent 2-1 victory served as a loud reminder to 0the rest of the league that BUL is back to business. Sitting in the seventh position, BUL views this matchday14 encounter as a ladder to climb higher.
For Lugazi, the narrative is different. Sitting 14th on the 16-team log, the hosts are fighting to keep their heads high.
While they managed to pick a point from Mbarara City, BUL posess a different assignment on a home ground they have managed two wins from the previous six outings.
So Lugazi find themselves in a desperate position where they badly need a positive result to launch their survival campaign.
”Our aim is to get three points from every game we play,” Isabirye said before adding; “I know it’s not going to be an easy game, but we shall do whatever it takes to pick a win.”
Echoing his manager’s confidence, defender Kelvin Barni called on the travelling fans to provide the spark.
“The team is in good condition and well motivated. We are carrying the same attitude from our previous game to ensure we maintain our winning run,” Barni noted.
Lugazi and BUL FC have met twice in all competitions, with BUL winning all meetings.
