With Africa waiting on decisions from the Caf Disciplinary Committee following a chaotic final, the Senegal FA has confirmed appearing before the panel.

The final match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations was marred by controversy in its closing stages of the ninety minutes when Morocco were awarded a penalty for a foul on Brahim Diaz moments after they had their goal chalked off with a push on Achraf Hakimi.

Senegal players were left frustrated and left the pitch with game only resuming 17 minutes later and Pape Gueye scored the winner in extra time that handed the Lions of Teranga their second title.

In a statement released by the Senegal FA, they confirmed being represented by Attorney General Seydou Diagane, coach Pape Thiaw as well as players Ismail Sarr and Illman Ndiaye.

Accordingly, they also revealed that CAF will communicate its decision within 48-hours.
