Overview:

This will be the first meeting since Entebbe UPPC changed name from Gaddafi but in the previous encounters, the Kasasiro hold edge with five wins against one.

Abdallah Mubiru will make his first return to Lugogo as Entebbe UPPC manager as his side take on KCCA on the last game of the first round.

The soft-spoken tactician had two spells as KCCA boss, but was dismissed by the club before end of last season before moving to Old Entebbe in August.

Besides, he also worked at the club before in the capacity of assistant coach winning trophies with George ‘Best’ Nsimbe and also played for the club.

He returns with four ex-KCCA players including captains Julius Poloto and Mustafa Mujjuzi, Steven Munguchi and Isa Mubiru.

Speaking ahead of the game, Poloto, an academy graduate described the game as normal stating that the mission will be to get a good result.

“KCCA is a big team and being home, they have the advantage,” he told the club media. “But we have been there before and it will be a normal game. Such games are self-motivating and everyone is waiting to have a good game there as we want victory,” he added.

Brian Ssenyondo, the tactician that replaced Mubiru has also echoed same sentiments saying it will not be different from any other game.

“In a league, you play everyone and this won’t be any different. They are a good side but our focus will be on ending the first round on a good note in positions that can help us push for the title in the second round,” said Ssenyondo.

KCCA beat UPDF 4-0 in their last outing while Entebbe UPPC fired blanks in a goalless draw with Maroons on the same day.

The two sides are separated by three points with KCCA, second on the table with 30 while the visitors are on 27 in 5th place.

This will be the first meeting since Entebbe UPPC changed name from Gaddafi but in the previous encounters, the Kasasiro hold edge with five wins against one.
