The Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) has formally opened invitations for the prestigious Kateregga Memorial Schools and Institutions Table Tennis Championship 2026.
The hunt for Uganda’s next table tennis stars is officially on as the cornerstone event on the national sports calendar.
Scheduled to take place from Friday, February 27, to Sunday, March 1, the three-day tournament will be hosted at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
As the premier platform for youth identification, the championship aims to bridge the gap between grassroots participation and professional excellence.
A platform for excellence
On behalf of the UTTA, the President Cyrus Muwanga emphasised that this event is critical that this event is critical for nurturing the sport across all educational levels.
The arena is expected to buzz with energy as primary schools, secondary schools and universities from across the country battle for supremacy in both team and individual categories.
To maintain high competitive standards, each institution is restricted to one team per gender.
