Uganda Cranes striker Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru made a dream start to his stint at Ross County, scoring on his debut for the club.

The gangly forward who came on a substitute netted the lone goal as Ross County secured a 1-0 win on the road at Queen’s Park in the relegation six-pointer.

Uche joined The Staggies on Monday, sealing a deadline day move from St. Johnstone.

On Tuesday, he was part of Ross County squad but started on bench. He came on a second substitute in the 65th minute replacing Jordan White.

14 minutes later, Uche was in the right position to head home Alex Iacovitti’s corner kick delivery.

The win lifted Ross County of the base of the table, moving one place up on 22 points but still remain in the relegation zone.
