Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) released the 2025/2026 calendar.

The Malaysia Woodball World Cup will climax the 2025/2026 woodball calendar that resumes this month on February 14 with managers and players symposium.

Uganda is expected to send a strong team for the global event with the main agenda of performing better than the previous events.

Uganda Woodball Federation General Secretary Juma Adam Kato noted this after releasing the final round of the 2025/2026 calendar.

“In this second half of the season, we will roll off activities including the beach woodball, university national championship and other national championships including the corporate games,” Kato added.

“These are shall prepare us for the team to the world Cup in Malaysia if resources are available,” he added.

He also explained that capacity building workshops dominate the Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) calendar released.

The calendar running from February to July 2026 has four training workshops in Butambala, Busukuma, in March while Mbarara and Wakiso districts in May.

“We are going to focus much on building capacity in the different regions to be compliant with the 2023 Sports Act but also to have more trained officials manage our activities in the different regions,” Kato noted.

Kato urged the club managers to attend these federation symposiums so that they have an input in the managing of the sport.

 According to the calendar released, managers meeting will be held on February 14 at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), the Women Day National Championship at Makerere University the following month.

The federation president Paul Mark Kayongo urged the technical committee to address all the technical issues regarding the calendar before the activities start.
