In a significant development in the sports arena, a renowned West Nile based Football Club, Paidha black Angels Sports Club signed a memorandum of understanding with Chill Out Lounge, marking a major millstone in the club’s history.
The two parties observed that this partnership is to leverage their perspective brands for mutual commercial and community growth within West Nile.
Paidha Black Angels is a sole community owned, and it was started in 1979 surviving on revenue collection from community, registered fans and well-wishers.
The memorandum of understanding is a one-year-term of football season, effective the date of signing the agreement on Friday 6th February 2026 and renewable.
The signed agreement spells out clear obligations of the two parties including; brand integration, marketing materials, Man of The Match award sponsorship, media mentions, venue provision, and event support.
Chill Out Lounge is a subsidiary of “The Giant Engle Sounds and Events” operating in Northern Uganda with its headquarters in Arua City while Paidha Black Angels FC is an established football club based in Paidha town council Zombo district.
The MoU was signed by Passy communication officer Chill Out Lounge and Hellen Okecho, managing director, Francis Thomas Utwikende Communication Officer PBA, Sabili Bidokoperi treasurer PBA representing Club chairman including fans and legends representatives respectively.

Addressing the journalists shortly after signing the MoU, Derrick Passy revealed that this is the first agreement Chill Out Lounge has entered in the region of operations.
“For all the home matches at Barokoro for the man of the match ugx 50000 will remain. Ofcourse we render helping hand to clubs within Alur region and West Nile.” Passy reiterated
Sabili Bidokoperi, treasurer PBA SC observed that Chill Out Lounge has already extended assistance to the club at the start for signing players to tune of UGX 500,000.
“I remember they started helping us by the time of signing players this season and I am sure PBA we shall move forward.” Bidokoperi asserted
Julius Jacan chairman fans PBA says through awarding man of the match; this will boost the morale and competition among players.
“This partnership will boost playing and competition among the players thus development of the club I call upon the fans to embrace this idea.”
Denis Bidongninga, legendary Paidha Black Angels player, appealed to more companies to sponsor the club.
“Am a former player and am happy for this agreement because during our time we played without receiving monetary benefits.” Bedongninga shared his past moment in football career.
Francis Thomas Utwikende, the Paidha Black Angels communication officer confirmed that this is the first formal agreement and sponsorship grabbed after decades’ club establishment.
“In can assure you from the archive we have never had a partnership, and this will help us to progress to another level.” Utwikenda revealed.
Christened as the “Blacks”, Paidha Black Angels seek to return to the Uganda Premier League.
