Wakiso Giants took a 2-0 lead through goals by Kasozi and Pius Wanji in the 14th and 44th minutes respectively. SC Volcanoes made quick amends when Julius Lukyamuzi pulled back a goal on the hour mark and the immensely gifted Sunny Kaija grabbed the equalized in the 75th minute. During the tense shoot-out, Lukyamuzi, Derrick Menya, Davis Muheirwe and Henry Tumusiime converted for SC Volcanoes whilst Alex Mandera missed his kick. Bashir Mutanda, Musa Matovu and Samson Kasozi were on target for Wakiso Giants as Duncan Sseninde and Pius Wanji missed their respective kicks.

The big shock waves during this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup competition continue.
At the round of 64 stage, a third division club, SC Volcanoes (Mutolere SC) barely formed six months ago caused the stir.
Coached by former Uganda Cranes midfielder Patrick Ochan, SC Volcanoes ejected a second division (FUFA Big League) club, Wakiso Giants in thrilling contest.
Normal time of this contest ended 2-goals apiece before SC Volcanoes held their nerves to win the shoot out 4-3.

Meanwhile, Mbale based Kataka overcame fourth division team Garuga Stars 5-4 in post match penalties after a non-scoring draw in normal time at the Cherish Playground in Garuga,Katabi, Wakiso district.
In Lugazi, Kigezi Home Boyz won 2-1 on the road over Lugazi Nabugabo United to advance to the round of 32.
Timothy Beinomugisha struck a brace for Sadique Sempigi’s coached side.
