Simon Peter Mugerwa returns to Police with Lugazi as the hosts seek their first ever win against the Najjembe based side.
Mugerwa, now managing the visiting side was instrumental in Police’s return to the premiership and until midway last season, he was in charge of Cops.
The visitors are in dire need of points to fend off the relegation monster early in the campaign while Police, 2005 league champions want victory to keep within the title conversation.
The Cops are now 6th on the table with 28 points despite setting pace early on but defeat to Vipers and a draw to URA left them eight points behind the leaders.
Lugazi are 12th with 15 points, four ahead of the teams that occupy the relegation zone and will draw belief from their goalless draw with SC Villa in their last league outing.
They are expected to unleash their new signings in the current transfer window – Hamza Mulambuzi and Umar Kyebataala but will mainly rely on the experience of Richard Ayiko at the back to stop the Cops attack led by Bedia Ikamba, Umar Kasumba and Charles Bbale.
