BLACKLYF, Uganda’s leading lifestyle technology brand, has announced a strategic partnership with the National Basketball League (NBL) for the 2026 season.

This partnership positions BLACKLYF as an official lifestyle technology partner of the NBL and marks a significant step in strengthening the connection between basketball culture and lifestyle innovation in the country.

Through this collaboration, BLACKLYF will deliver on-ground activations, co-branded campaigns, product giveaways, and sponsored awards designed to deepen fan engagement and enhance the overall league experience.

Speaking on the partnership, FUBA CEO, Marcus Kwikiriza, welcomed the collaboration, saying, “As FUBA, we are excited to partner with BLACK because they represent everything a basketball player and the fans resonate with. Basketball is a lifestyle sport globally and BLACK speaks the same language.

“I am particularly happy to see that our fans, whether you love basketball as a sport or the social elements around it, get to benefit most from this partnership. We are nothing without our fans, so this is a great way to keep them engaged away from the sport directly.”

The partnership comes at a defining moment for the National Basketball League, following a historic season that crowned a new champion and renewed competitive energy across the league.

As part of the partnership, BLACKLYF will contribute over UGX 70 million in value throughout the season, distributed through a mix of product giveaways and cash prizes to fans and players. This includes premium audio devices, smart wearables, and sponsored rewards aimed at recognising loyalty, participation, and performance across the league.

BLACKLYF’s Head of Marketing & Brand, Mourice Aliganyira, emphasized the brand’s commitment to authentic community engagement.

“BLACKLYF is built at the intersection of lifestyle, culture, and technology. Basketball naturally lives in that same space. It’s expressive, energetic, and deeply connected to youth identity. Through this partnership, we are creating meaningful touchpoints with fans by bringing premium audio devices and wearables directly into the basketball environment.

“Our goal is to connect with fans in ways that feel authentic and rewarding. We are not just supporting the league, we are investing in the lifestyle around it and strengthening our relationship with the community that powers the game.”

Fans attending NBL games can look forward to exciting halftime giveaways, interactive fan challenges, and branded activations during game days, creating memorable moments beyond the action on the court.
