- Miracle Eaglets 57-43 Angels
Miracle Eaglets return to winning ways in the ongoing 2026 National Basketball League.
After falling to Nabisunsa, Miracle Eaglets secured a hard-fought 57-43 victory against Angels in the National Basketball League encounter played in Lubowa on Wednesday.
Marion Anyanzwa got the game underway with a quickfire from downtown but Lina Koul Khor responded with a brilliant layup for the Angels.
Angels limited Miracle Eaglets to only eight points as they opened a four-point lead (12-08) at the end of a slow opening period.
In the second stanza, Miracle Eaglets moved the ball better and also covered the piant in an organised manner. This limited Angels attack thus dropping only six points in the given period.
Caroline Nakato found her shooting range which gave life to the Eaglets. The Angels struggled throughout the whole stanza and went into the halftime break with a 12-point deficit.
Coming from the break, it became a tighter as the two sides tied 15-15 in the third period of the game.
Despite the Angels’ second-half charge, Caroline Nakato sealed off the encounter with a hot 3-point jumpshot as the Eaglets flew away with a 14-point victory.
Nakato (17 points) and Isabella Namugabo (11 points) led the Miracle Eaglets’ scoring board in double digits.
On the other hand, only Joan Namatovu reached double digits scoring 11 points for the Angels.
