Kitara will be desperate to cut the gap between them and table leaders Vipers to one when they host Bunyoro rivals Buhimba United Saints in a local derby on Friday.
The highly anticipated fixture will be played at the Hoima City stadium marking it the maiden competitive fixture at the newly constructed stadium ever.
Kitara will be in a familiar territory having played at the stadium against KCCA in the official opener in December last year.
Heading into the game, Kitara are second on the table with 43 points following a hard fought 1-0 win over Mbarara City in their last outing and will be favourites against Buhimba are fighting to stay up in their first season in the topflight league.
They occupy 14th place on the standings with 15 points, just two above the relegation zone having lost 1-0 to BUL in their last outing.
They will however be confident of stunning the Royals after they beat them in the first round.
Edson Agondze will face his ex-immediate bosses after crossing from Buhimba in the mid-season window and is one of the many options in attack the hosts have at disposal.
Elsewhere on Friday, BUL host Mbarara City while Police and NEC lock horns at Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya.
