Young Elephants Academy Football Club stunned Blacks Power with a 1-0 home victory during match day 16 of the 2026 FUFA Big League at the Elephants’ Park stadium in Nwoya district.

The hosts built onto a 42nd own goal that they defended gallantly to clinch maximum points.

This was the third loss for Blacks Power in 16 outings as their lead at the summit of the table standings was reduced to a single point since Ntugasaze won 4-1 at home over Nebbi Central at the Kiira road playground.

Abdallah Kawanguzi, James Jarieko, Godfrey Kakooza and Brian Omirambe scored for Ntugasaze.

Blacks Power remains on 29 points with Ntusagaze on 28 points.

Young Elephants Academy got their 7th victory, climbing to 7th with 24 points.

Meanwhile, Kigezi Home Boyz slipped to third place following a 1-all draw with Kaaro Karungi at the Kyamatte playground in Ntungamo.

This is the 8th draw for Kigezi Home Boyz who get to 26 points, three shy away from the leaders Blacks Power.

At the Mbale City stadium, Kataka smiled 2-0 over Bunyaruguru United.

In Iganga, the home side Iganga United outmuscled Onduparaka 2-1 at the Ssaza grounds and Paidha Black Angels edged visiting Mbale Heroes 1-0 in Zombo.

Wakiso Giants beat Kiyinda Boys 1-0 courtesy of Davis Kakande’s goal at Hamz stadium in the heart of the Ugandan capital city, Kampala.

Earlier on Saturday, Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club edged CATDA 1-0 at the Bugolobi Coffee playgrounds.

Goalkeeper Ashiraf Sozzi scored an own goal to give Soltilo Bright Stars maximum points.

Four clubs will be promoted to the Star Times Uganda Premier League for the forth coming 2026/2027 season.

Also, four clubs shall be demoted to the respective regional leagues.
