Vipers will be out to continue progress in the Stanbic Uganda Cup when they face lower ranked Pajule Lions at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

The holders will be overwhelming favourites to progress to the round of 16 but Vipers Belgian head coach Jacky Ivan Minnaert says they can’t underrate their opponents.

“We are preparing for the game like we prepare for any other game,” he told the club media. “There’s no small team because every team wants to show their strength against Vipers,” he added.

It remains to be seen which line up the Belgian will put out but it appears like he will put out a full-strength squad.

Nigerian Chukwuma Odili scored the winning goal in the past round.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Kitara host fellow premiership side Entebbe UPPC at Royal Park Butema.

KCCA became the first team to reach the round of 16 after eliminating Mbarara City 1-0 on Sunday.

  1. Yeah. I know Pajule Lions very well and their history in Stanbic Uganda Cup counts. For Vipers to win, they should erase the mentality of Pajule Lions coming from third division league football. Anyway I wish both the teams their best as they clash
