The Njoro Golf Club member kept improving with every other round, scoring 75, 74, and 71, to claim the tourney by five strokes.
Nyachama’s success came on the back of the passing of her mother before teeing off on opening day, and she dedicated the victory to her late mum.
“I would like to dedicate this win to my late mother, who passed prior to me teeing off. I would like to thank the sponsors, MTN [Uganda], plus all the lady golfers who took part in this tournament, and thanks for the challenge over the three days,” said Nyachama.
With victory for Nyachama came a lion’s share of the Ugx. 10,000,000 total prize money staked by the sponsors, MTN Uganda.

Meanwhile, Tanzania’s Neema Olomi, the winner of the tournament in 2018, finished runner-up on countback ahead of 2024 winner Peace Kabasweka, who settled for third and was also the best Ugandan finisher.
Judith Komugisha (235) and Martha Babirye (237), who faded with every round, completed the top five positions.
