They work tirelessly and always believe in their respective aspirations to make the proposals harboured in their minds come to fruition.

Ugandan business mogul Hajji Omar Mandela, the Director at Mandela Group of Companies also affiliates to the aforementioned cluster of big dreamers.

Hajji Mandela seeks yet another term of office in charge of Sports Club Villa presidency for the term 2026-2031.

During the club’s Annual General Meeting held at the former East High premises in Kulambiro, Eastern Kampala, Hajji Mandela shared his bold vision for the club.

“I am glad to have served as president of SC Villa as for the last five years. I wanted to rest but was convinced by some executive members to solider on which I accepted to do” he shared.

He revealed to the ardent club fans, trustee and executive committee members present that his dream for Sports Club Villa is far-fetched.

“I want to see a Sports Club Villa of 100 years. This is a club that I want to build with a permanent home and structures. This is how clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid were built over the years” he added.

Blasts critics:

Hajji Mandela branded critics of his leadership as “snakes” and noise-makers.

“People who are speaking ill of my leadership as SC Villa president are just noise makers and snakes. You cannot entertain a snake in your home even if it is young. Once it grows up, it will spike you” he warned as the fans applauded.

The Sports Club Villa Trustee chairperson Gerald Ssendaula detailed the electoral roadmap that shall precipitate into elections on 22nd March 2026.

The electoral committee appointed by the club trustees has Brian Kajuba, Brandon Katura and Desire Mukisa.

Eng. William Nkemba outlined the club report with the achievements attained and the pointed out the challenges encountered.

Sports Club Villa was founded in 1974 and in the 2023-2024 season won the league for the record breaking 17th Uganda Premier League title.

This club christened as the “Jogoos” commands arguably the biggest following of fans in the country and the Diaspora.
