- Police 0-2 BUL
Ibrahim Orit scored a brace as BUL returned to winning ways in the Uganda Premier League.
BUL came into this encounter having drawn and lost against Vipers and KCCA respectively.
BUL secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against Police in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Kira Police Arena on Tuesday evening.
The visitors started on the front foot asking the goalkeeper several questions but Mathias Muwanga was equal to the challenge.
In the 28th minute, Umar Kasumba tried to test the goalkeeper from distance but his effort went wide of the frame.
Orit broke the deadlock on top of the hour with a powerful effort after being set up by Richard Okello.
Police tried to respond choosing to go for long balls into the area but BUL’s backline dealt well with the pressure.
In the 90th minute, Orit put the icing on the cake after doubling BUL’s lead in spectacular fashion.
Orit went on a solo run off Walter Ochora’s delivery that went past goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga before he guided the ball into an empty net.
The victory takes BUL to the eighth position with 23 points while Police drop to sixth position with 32 points after 18 league games.
