Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi shared the spoils with visiting Mountains of the Moon University after a 1-all draw on Friday, 6th March 2026 during the Pepsi University League.

David Ahebwa scored the opener for Mountains of the Moon University with a stunning strike in the 9th minute.

The equalizer for Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi arrived via a penalty scored by Ronald Obedgiu in the 53rd minute.

The draw helped reigning cup holders Uganda Martyrs raise to 8 points, and close gap upon the leader (Kampala University) by a single point.

Mountains of the Moon University remains win-less in 4 matches.

Other results:

Kampala University recovered from a goal down to edge Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) 2-1 during another Group A contest in Mbarara city.

Richman Ainamani gave Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) the lead in the 18th minute.

The visitors (Kampala University) staged a gallant second half performance scoring through Gideon Nsubuga and Joseph Kimera in the 53rd and 88th minutes respectively.

Kabale University edged visiting Bishop Stuart University 2-0 in group B courtesy of two first half goals from Michael Owunyo and Marvin Onyango for their first of the campaign.

This was the first victory for Kabale University taking them to five points from 4 matches played thus far.

Bishop Stuart University stays in the third position with 6 points, as Muteesa 1 Royal University leads the pool with 9 points.

Bugema University has 8 points, one behind the leaders.

St Lawrence University convincingly defeated Lira University 3-0 in Group D of the Pepsi University League at Kavule, along Masaka Road.

Sharafah Mukiibi scored a brace and Ivan James Okello added the other for the hosts who have now won two games out of two.

Okello gave St Lawrence University the lead on 33 minutes with a powerful strike.

Mukiibi got his first goal on the hour mark, tapping home off Yasins Owane’s cross.

Six minutes later, Mukiibi doubled his personal tally, the team’s third to seal the victory.

St Lawrence University has 6 points, three better than MUBS and Gulu University.

Lira University is yet to register any victory in two matches.
