Entebbe City Rollers Club receive national flag from Entebbe Mayor His Worship Fabrice Rulinda

There are high expectations from Uganda’s team that traveled for the 2026 G7 Skating championship due to take place on Saturday, 7th March at the Kasarani outdoor Arena in Nairobi, Kenya.

The team (composed of Entebbe City Rollers club players) was officially flagged off at the Entebbe Municipal Council headquarters by the Mayor of Entebbe Municipality His Worship Fabrice Brad Rulinda, flanked by the town clerk Emmanuel Mugisha and the district education officer Joyce Nalubega.

The Mayor also donated a new set of track suits to the team worth Ug.Shs 1,200,000 and also offered Ug.Shs 1,000,000 in cash to assist in the logistics whilst traveling.

“I wish the team the very best in Nairobi. Go and make us proud. We shall continue to support you” His Worship Rulinda who lauded the role of coaches and parents revealed.

The team got the full blessings of the Uganda Skating Federation (USF).

Coach-cum-player Himran Sserumaga expressed gratitude to the Mayor for the support extended to the team, vowing to give their best at the championship.

“I am humbled for the support from the Mayor. We have trained well and ready to give our best in the championship due in Kenya” Sserumaga noted.

Team composition:

The players on the team range from those aged 5 years to 23 year olds.

They include; Rashid Mubarak, Julius Kibenjala, Michelle Amenton, Flavia Mbatudde, Halima Atatiru, Bridget Nandawula, Janat Jukiraa, Shamim Draru, Rahma Maliko, Ali Bamuze, Tauba Apeti, Ian Ongaki, Titus Jorum Ssempijja, Myra Maria Anyango, Charlse Jayden Kyeyune, Junior Emmanual Bua, Kevin Tugumisirize and Peter Kyoshabire.
