NEC’s nine-match unbeaten run is on the line as they face resilient Entebbe UPPC at Lugogo under floodlights on Tuesday.
The ‘Diehards’ last lost a game on December 12 last year against KCCA and have since won five and drawn four in the league.
Their newfound form has seen them rise to the table and are now 7th with 30 points, just five behind the Printers who are winless in three matches in succession in all competitions.
Badru Kaddu is hopeful of extending a good run despite hosting a side he termed as tough.
“The preparations are good and we have players like Richard Basangwa, Pius Obuya and Muhammad Ssenoga back from injury and that gives us viable options,” Kaddu told the press.
“The opponents (UPPC) are ahead of us and we need to be alert but as long as we get the goals, I believe we shall win because that is all we want,” he added.
Entebbe UPPC who are 5th on the table could hand debuts to Abraham Tusubira and Laban Tibita who missed the goalless draw against URA.
Ambrose Kigozi, Julius Poloto and Nasur Saddick will be key for the visitors who are aiming to stay in the title contention.
The reverse fixture at Bugonga ended in a 1-0 defeat for NEC with Samuel Kawawa netting the winning goal.
Elsewhere on Tuesday, record champions SC Villa visit 2005 winners Police, BUL visit Buhimba at Royal Park Butema in Hoima, Mbarara City host Kitara in the Western Derby while Calvary visit Maroons at Midigo.
