Rezlife Saints’ perfect start to the 2026 National Basketball League continued on Saturday as they picked up a fifth win on the bounce.
The Saints beat struggling Kampala Rockets 73-57 at YMCA thanks to skipper Mike Otieno’s all-around performance, in which he recorded a triple-double.
Playing a side that barely trains, the Saints ran away in the first quarter, 23-9, as they continuously found transition opportunities and gaps inthe half court.
The Rockets tried to rally back in the second quarter and early in the third period, cutting the deficit to 7 points, but that was the closest they came as they trailed by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Otieno led the way for the Saints (5-0) with a game-high 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Edrine Ekau (15 points), Elvis Ssentongo (13) and Tueny Mabor (12) camein handy while Duot Ajang pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.
Toussaint Mampuya netted ateam-high 16 points for the Rockets, Mpiya Juf returned to the team with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds. Michael Ssekibenga (10) also reached double figures.
