Following a disappointing 1-1 draw with UPDF, Kitara head to Kamwenge where bogey side Mbarara City awaits as they aim to close in on Vipers.
Kitara sit four points behind table leaders Vipers who are not in action until Wednesday when they visit UPDF at Bombo.
Wasswa Bbosa admits it will be a tough task against the Ankole Lions who are struggling for survival and are only three points above the relegation zone.
“We didn’t get the result we wanted against UPDF last week and here we are again, ready to face another tricky side in Mbarara City. We need to play better and remain in the title chase,” said Bbosa.
“History doesn’t favor the visitors but we have the team to change history,” he added.
Kitara has never won a league match away against Mbarara City. Their previous visits to Kakyeka (Mbarara’s traditional home, though the fixture is at Rwamwanja) ended in disappointment; two draws and one loss.
Nothing but three points will leave the Royals in contention for a maiden league title.
Patrick Kaddu and Isa Lumu return from suspension but Yunus Sibira is out due to accumulation of bookings.
At Midigo, hosts Calvary take on Maroons aiming to pick their first topflight victory, BUL visit Buhimba United Saints at Royal Park Butema, SC Villa make a short trip to Kamwokya while Entebbe UPPC are away to NEC.
