Kitara bounced back to winning ways on Tuesday as the Royals overcame Mbarara City at Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge district.

Edson Agondeze scored the lone goal of the game as Kitara bagged all three points. The decisive moment came in the ninth minute.

Kitara had to bounce back from their draw away to UPDF last week to keep within reach of runaway leaders Vipers.

Coach Wasswa Bbosa welcomed back striker Patrick Kaddu from suspension that saw him miss the trip to Bombo.

However, his return lasted only 45 minutes with Chrispus Asiki replacing him after the break.

Despite efforts from the hosts, Kitara held on to secure maximum points and now moves within a point of Vipers on 43 points. Mbarara City, on the other hand, remain 13th with 15 points.
