- Bronze Division: Pak Shaheens 154/5 beat Kifaru 148 all out by 5 wickets
- Silver Division: Ismaili Community 169 all out beat SKLPS 101/9 by 68 runs
In the national league, there was a mini India-Pakistan battle when the newcomers Pak Shaheens and Kifaru battled in the Bronze Division.
The new teams had so many familiar faces who were not facing each other for the first time. Kifaru batted first with Devansh Patel (38) and Utkarsh Kothari (63) putting on an opening stand of 98, but once that opening stand was broken, the runs dried up, and eventually Kifaru was bundled out for 148.
In the run chase, despite losing Wasim Butt cheaply, Pak Shaheens were never in trouble, and even the late wickets never derailed them and went on to win by five wickets.
Some joy for Pak Shaheens, who are made up of mostly Pakistans while Kifaru is mostly made up of Indians, with the global game between the two one of the most expensive matches in sports.
In the Silver Division, Ismaili Community managed to get past a tricky SKLPS in Lugogo, winning by 68 runs.
Riazat Ali Shah and his troops batted first and, although very fluid, managed to post a modest total.
In the chase, SKLPS was 27/6 and only a rare guard resistance put some respect in the final total, but it wasn’t enough to stop them losing by 68 runs.
It was the second win for Ismaili Community, who are chasing promotion to the Gold division.
