Enrique Lubwama in action
  • 2025/26 UPL (Matchday 20):
  • UPDF 1-2 Vipers

Vipers Sports Club bagged their 14th victory of the season in 20 outings with a hard-fought 2-10 win against UPDF at the Bombo Barracks Military Stadium on Wednesday, 11th March 2026.

Arafat Usama Kiza and Abdul Karim Watambala scored for Vipers, who extended their lead at the summit to four points clear of second-placed Kitara.

Promising young midfielder Enrique Lubwama had scored an equalizer for the hosts with 10 minutes to play.

The visitors commenced the game on a promising footing as winger Chukwuma delivered an inviting cross from the left that defender Da Slyva headed out as early as the third minute.

Lubwama eluded left back Enock Luyima but the young midfielder crossed hurriedly over the ball.

It was UPDF again in the 13th minute when Emmanuel Ochen had a cross towards Vipers’ goal area, but it was too high for the intended target.

UPDF suffered their 13th defeat of the season, which leaves them on 13 points with plenty of worry to ponder about the relegation threat at the final bend of the season.
