  • Chennai 164/7 beat ACC 106 all out by 56 runs

Defending champions of the 50 Over League, Kutchi Tigers, remain unbeaten after a strong win against newcomers GM Sugar.

The game was reduced to 33 overs after an overnight shower. GM Sugar, without the services of Cricket Cranes players Simon Ssesazi and Henry Ssenyondo, who are on national team duty in Namibia, batted first and scored only 117 inside 30 overs.

Kutchi Tigers’ new boy Steven Wabwose (36 not out) made sure he anchored the run chase and closed out the victory for his new side, making it two out of two for them.

In the Silver Division, Ismaili Community continue to lead the way as they thumped Kutchi B by 9 wickets in a one-sided encounter at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe.

Ismaili Community showed no signs of missing Juma Miyaji and Riazat Ali Shah as they continued their case for promotion to the Gold Division.

In the Bronze Division, the Centurion sides had mixed results, with Centurion A falling to Kifaru in a heavy defeat. Youngster Devansh Patel (153) scored his second century of the season to lead Kifaru to their second win of the season.

The senior Centurion side got a win against a tricky Tornado side at the Serenity Oval in Kamengo.

Tornado only managed 148 in 45 overs, with the wickets shared amongst the bowlers but Jackson Asiku (3/30) was the standout.

Conrad Lubwama (38) anchored the run chase for Centurion with Ali Balidawa (33) consolidating the middle and Captain Allan Ssemakula (16 not out) put on the finishing touches.
