Bugema University and a 10-man Kampala University played to a one-all draw during the first leg of the quarterfinals in Bugema on Tuesday, 24th March 2026.
Gideon Nsubuga scored the opening goal for Kampala University in the 20th minute via a well-taken penalty.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men following the sending off of Simon Peter Owawu in the 54th minute.
The numerical advantage to Bugema was optimally utilized and Jonah Muwadda struck beautifully from distance for the equalizer with 15 minutes to play.

On Thursday, St Lawrence University will play host to Ndejje University at Kavule before Nkumba University visits Kumi University on Friday.
Nkumba University bounced back after filing a successful petition over YMCA, which fielded non-bona fide students.
