  • M: Rezlife Saints vs. NamBlazers – 9:00 pm

When Rezlife Saints faced the first real test of the 2026 National Basketball League, they faultered, falling to Sommet in their first defeat of the season.

The Saints (5-1) have not played a game since and return to action tonight at Abja Park in Naalya to take on Namuwongo Blazers.

It will be a stern test for Moses Okwera’s charges as they face defending champions who have not dropped a game since the opening day defeat to City Oilers.

The Blazers (5-1) have been getting contributions from all over the floor but it has been Peter Obleng leading the charge on the offensive side of the ball in recent games. The wing has been running the floor and also has the green light to launch from beyond the arc.

Fataki Nyembo is quietly settling in at Blazers, and it’s games like these where opponents set defences that coaches get to run sets for the star forward.

Jimmy Enabu has been directing traffic for the Blazers with help from Henry Ssebagala but the duo, along with Innocent Ochera, will have some work on their hands on the defensive end against Mike Otieno, Kevin Moru, and Edrine Ekau, who is figuring out his way in the top flight.

Defensively, only the City Oilers have been better than the Blazers so far and the Saints will have to be at their best, especially in the halfcourt. Arthur Wanyoto, Nyembo, Moses Mugisha, and James Okello, despite being a tad bit slow, protect the lane well and will make it tough for the likes of Tueny Mabor, Fadul Suka, and Joshua Kenga.

In the women’s division, Magic Stormers, who have blown hot and cold, take on Victoria She Crocs.
