Kawempe Muslim had to dig deep to overcome Lady Doves on Sunday to maintain their lead at the top of the FUFA Women Super League table.

In the game played at Kawempe Muslim playground, the Valley Warriors secured a 1-0 win thanks to Latifah Nakasi’s goal.

Nakasi got the lone goal in the 51st minute, and this eventually turned out to be the decisive moment of the closely contested game.

With the title race between Kawempe and She Corporate tight, the final bend leaves no room for dropping points.

After today’s games, Kawempe lead the table with 42 points, one ahead of She Corporate, who had to come from two goals down to defeat Rines 3-2 in Wakiso.

There are only five games left to the end of the season, and every point at the moment matters. Kawempe will face Asubo Ladies, Makerere University, Rines, Kamapala Queens and Olila High School in that order.

On the other hand, She Corporate’s final games will see them take on Kampala Queens, Olila High School, St. Noa Girls, Uganda Martyrs and She Maroons.
