Muteesa 1 Royal University will face YMCA Comprehensive Institute in the final of the 2025/26 Pepsi University Football League (UFL).

This fixture was confirmed after the completion of the two-legged semi-finals.

The second leg of the return semi-final witnessed Muteesa 1 Royal University triumph 3-1 at the Kavule stadium.

Eric Katende, Ali Lutwama and Brian Rwothomio were on target for Muteesa 1 Royal University.

Katende gave the visitors the lead on 22 minutes. The joy was short lived as Ssemanda pulled back the equalizer for St Lawrence University three minutes later.

Lutwama restored Muteesa 1 Royal University’s lead in the 37th minute with a well struck free-kick into the roof of the net.

Rwothomio sealed the coffin for St Lawrence with the third goal well celebrated.

This is the first final that Muteesa 1 Royal University will play since the tournament inception.

They face YMCA Comprehensive who eliminated Kampala University 5-3 in post match penalties after a goal-less draw.
