- Lugazi vs SC Villa – Lugazi stadium, Najjembe 4pm
- Kitara vs Calvary – Royal Park, Butema 4pm
SC Villa travel to Lugazi on Wednesday aiming to keep pace with the leading pack.
With both Vipers and KCCA winning on Tuesday, the Jogoos can’t afford to drop points against Lugazi who are also desperate for maximum points to enhance survival chances.
The record champions on 45 points are now ten adrift of leaders but a win will keep them within touching distance of the Venoms.
On the other hand, Lugazi, on 20 points in 13th position want to end a bad run that has them winless in seven successive matches since they beat UPDF 2-1 in February.
Head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa wants his lads to build on the performances in the draws against Entebbe UPPC and Calvary.
“We had good performances against both UPPC and Calvary and it is that that we need to transform into results,” he said. “We face a Villa side in good form but at home, we believe we can pick a result against them,” he added.
The reverse fixture ended in a goalless draw in what was a frustrating result for Villa who dominated the entire game.
Villa could be without Patrick Kakande who was taken off midway the second half in the draw with Vipers but in Frank Ssebuufu, Hassan Mubiru and Reagan Mpande and others, they have enough firepower to threaten Lugazi.
Elsewhere, Kitara host Calvary at Royal Park, Butema seeking redemption after defeat to KCCA in their last outing.
