Nemostars Volleyball Club remained perfect at the ongoing 47th CAVB Men’s Club Championship.
Nemostars secured a dominant 3-0 victory against Nigeria Customs in the CAVB Men’s ACC encounter at Petit Stadeon Friday evening.
It was a closely contested game, where both sides went pound for pound. But Nemostars broke away, creating a four-point lead 24-20.
Nigeria Customs tried to make a late charge but Nemostars took the first set with a 25-23 triumph.





In the second set, Nemostars came out of their blocks early, creating an early three-point (3-0) lead. Nemo extended the lead to seven points (16-09).
Smith Okumu’s delivery once again played in handy as he brought his teammates smoothly into the game. At the end of the set, Nemostars triumphed 25-19.
In the final period, it was a one-way traffic as Nemostars collected points with ease. After trying to limit Daudi Okello in the earlier two sets, the opposite attacker finally found his way through to guide Nemostars to another victory.
In the same spirit, it was a great day in the office for Nemostars captain George Aporu, who cleaned the floor perfectly to keep his side on the front foot.
Nemostars will regroup as they take on the tournament hosts, APR, in a highly anticipated clash.
